Our goal includes empowering the at risk youth in the harsh natural Himalayan terrain villages to become self-reliant by imparting them training in climbing skills so they can be employed in the field of mountaineering and trekking and embracing a healthy lifestyle.
We are not stopping here! The future of Indian Himalayas is very promising and we therefore want to promote this sport as a noble mainstream profession, support who share the same belief, and would like to bring glory and fame to the well deserving guides, help them gain equal footing and be at par with their international counterparts.
Our trained guides would also help in bridging the gap of guides in demand vs. shortfall of available local guides during the peak tourist season in Ladakh.
Mountaineering requires immense physical and mental endurance, and these traits come naturally to most residents of Ladakh due to the high altitude, extreme weather, arduous terrain and low oxygen levels. We are aware of the very nature of the labor intensive profession and therefore are positive about the impact we will make in communities across Ladakh villages.
Creating awareness about various gainful jobs locally in adventure tourism, our focus would be to curb the growing trend of migration resulting in conserving the wonderful culture of the Ladakh community.
