Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an ID card issued by LMGA, I understand and confirm that I meet the following criteria:

• I possess the necessary qualifications and experience in mountain guiding or trekking as set by LMGA.
• I will provide valid certification and documentation of training from recognized authorities.
• I can demonstrate proficiency in mountaineering skills, first aid, navigation, and rescue techniques.

Code of Conduct

I agree to adhere to the LMGA’s Code of Conduct, which includes:

• Respecting the natural environment and cultural heritage of Ladakh.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during trekking or mountaineering expeditions.
• Conducting myself in a professional manner and providing accurate information to clients.

Insurance and Liability

I acknowledge that LMGA does not provide insurance coverage for accidents, injuries, or liabilities that may arise during mountain guiding or trekking activities. I agree to secure appropriate insurance coverage for myself and my clients.

Renewal and Validity

I understand that the LMGA-issued ID card is valid for a specific period and requires renewal upon expiration. Failure to renew the ID card may result in the suspension or revocation of my guiding privileges.

Fees and Charges

I agree to pay the necessary fees for the issuance and renewal of the ID card as determined by LMGA.

Compliance with Regulations

I commit to complying with all relevant regulations and guidelines set by LMGA, as well as local, state, and national authorities governing mountain guiding and trekking activities in Ladakh.

Liability Waiver

I acknowledge that mountain guiding and trekking involve inherent risks, including accidents, injuries, and adverse weather conditions. I release LMGA from any liability for damages, injuries, or losses incurred during these activities.

Declaration

I declare that all information provided in this application is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any false or misleading information may result in the rejection of my application or the revocation of my ID card.
